Jonathan Pryce (born June 1, 1947) is a Welsh award-winning stage and film actor/singer. In the 1970's Pryce established himself on the London stage with roles in The Taming of the Shrew and Hamlet, but it was his role in the hit play Comedians that earned him his first Tony Award in 1977. Pryce would claim a second Tony Award 15 years later for his role in Miss Saigon with another brilliant performance. In 1985, Pryce achieved a breakthrough in film with his role as Sam Lowry in Brazil, one of Time magazines 100 best films of all time. This role would ignite a long critically lauded acting career for Jonathan Pryce with starring roles in such big-budget productions as Evita, Tomorrow Never Dies, and Pirates of the Caribbean.
