Conquer Cup 10 Tournament Report - Won By Technique Using Every Faction

"Technique" took home Conquer Cup 10 in a seven round three hour marathon of intense action. "Technique" used Soviets 4 times, Allies 4 times, Random 3 times and Empire once en route to his seven round epic victory. The meta game continues to evolve with "Technique" on the cutting edge of its development. In a tournament this deep in talent and with RA3 so well balanced "Technique" is proving the only way to consistently win is by exploiting your opponents' weaknesses against specific factions.

Balanced Competition

One hundred competitors fought down to sixteen as 5 Soviet players, 4 Empire Players, 6 Allies players, and Technique fought into the tournament's 2nd hour. I did not classify "Technique" as a certain faction player because he switches from game to game and round to round. We saw Malle use his Air Force and "One Refinery build" trickery to sneak into the Elite-8.

Diverse Factions Means Diverse Tactics

Winning attacks came in all forms. Naval centric, land based, and aerial attacks won various games throughout the day. We saw the awesome Soviet Tank and ground game as "Ganon-The-Boss" performed two perfect Hammer Tank pushes in the early rounds. Bullying his opponent's all over the map. No one, not even "Technique" attempts a Tank heavy land brawl with "Ganon-The-Boss" and comes out a winner. "Malle" employed mainly aerial attacks catalyzed by a Cryocopter and a tricky One-Refinery build. Malle's unorthodox style carried him all the way to the Elite-8.
